The Dinner Suit was a disguise Sir Dan had to wear in 1886.

Gameplay

The suit can be found in a shop in Whitechapel. Dan has to wear it in order to gain access to Madam Jo-jo's club. Wearing it with the Beard will make Peelers stop attacking Dan.

Behind the scenes

Development

Concept art.

According to Jason Wilson, the outfit originated from Sir Henry Fortesque, the initial planned protagonist for MediEvil 2.[1] Concept art of the outfit shows a dark blue jacket with a red lapel and red gloves. Dan also doesn't wear matching trousers or dress shoes and remains in his original leg armour instead.

  1. ProBoards "Chris came up with the original wonderful idea of setting Med' 2 in Victorian London. I believe at this point that the hero wasn't even Dan Fortisque[sic] but an ascendant[sic] of Dan's - a rather dapper skeleton in a top and tails (I forget his name). This revision might have been too similar to Jack Skellington but we ran with the idea for a while. The final design of this character did end up in Med' 2 as the Victorian outfit that Dan gets to wear." — Wilson, Jason, MediEvil developers - Q&A; on MediEvil Boards. Published November 3, 2013.
