The great scope was a giant telescope housed within the Greenwich Observatory.

History

During the Autumn of Death in 1886, Lord Palethorn and his lackeys Dogman and Mander hoped to use the great scope in order to locate the missing pages of Zarok's spell book. Their plans were interrupted when a giant balloon piloted by Sir Daniel Fortesque crashed into the building, destroying the great scope.[1]

Concept art.

Concept art of the telescope appears on a press disc for MediEvil 2. In the concept art, various parts of the telescope appear to be brass, and the eyepieces appear to quite literally be eyes.
