"With the help of an ancient artefact called the Anubis Stone, Zarok soon had a vast army of undead at his command. One can only imagine what it smelt like in that castle - like Lazarus's jock strap probably."
― A reference to Lazarus in HISTORY OF GALLOWMERE, Volume 2.
Lazarus was a man said to have been resurrected by Jesus Christ, the central figure of Christianity. Volume 2 of the HISTORY OF GALLOWMERE likened the smell inside Zarok's castle to that of his jock strap.[1]
↑ In the French localisation of MediEvil: Resurrection, the reference to Lazarus's jock strap was replaced with "les chaussettes de l'Archiduchesse" (the socks of the Archduchess), part of a famous French tongue twister.[2]
