A pitchfork was an agricultural tool used to pitch loose material, such as hay, straw, manure, or leaves. It had a long handle and usually two to five thin tines designed to efficiently move such materials.
History
History books claimed that Megwynne Stormbinder had fought off repeated attacks by barbarians using only a pitchfork and a rolling pin while also holding her baby.[1][2][3]
The mad farmers in the Scarecrow Fields wielded pitchforks in the 14th century.[1][3]
