King Peregrin (renamed to King Peregrine in Resurrection) is a character appearing in MediEvil and it's remake.

Before MediEvil

He was the king of Gallowmere in the 13th century. He liked stories of heroism and Dan was good at telling such stories. He eventually appointed Dan a knight and the head of the royal battalion. Some time after this, Zarok's terrific experiments on the dead were revealed. The King had banished Zarok, saying that 'The dead are to be honoured; not kept as the play things of alchemists!' Zarok soon built an army of demons, which he wanted to use to take over Gallowmere. The King sent his militia led by Dan to defeat this army. Daniel, however, was the first to fall in battle. Realising his subjects needed to feel safe and to honour Dan's memory, Peregrin declared that Daniel had defeated Zarok before his demise. A hero's tomb was soon erected to Dan, the history books inscribed with tales of his valour.

MediEvil

Daniel encounters King Peregrin's ghost while traveling through the Haunted Ruins. After obtaining his crown from a room below the Throne Room and placing it on the throne, the ghost suddenly appears. The King is surprised to see Dan and tells him he must release the lava behind the floodgates. He then teleports Daniel to the area with the lever to open them.

Personality

He is a friendly, chatty, old gentleman with a military background.
