The '''Land of the Dead''', also known as the '''Undiscovered Country''',{{Pressref|SONYECTS1997|Fact File}} was the final destination for the [[soul]]s of the dead. The Boat Man was the one to ferry the souls there. The souls of dead heroes seemed to inhabit the [[Hall of Heroes]] instead, though it is unknown whether the Hall of Heroes was a part of the Land of the Dead or not.
