'''Phil McCaven''' (fl. 1774) was a fisherman famed for catching the great [[Kraken]] off the coast of [[wikipedia:Bognor Regis|Bognor Regis]] in 1774. A <!--presumably life-sized--> recreation of the creature he caught was on display in the Myths & Legends section of [[the Museum]] in [[Kensington]] some 112 years later.
