    Sony PlayStation: "Funeral"
    File:30 second TV advert (EU)
    Runtime 0:30
    Agency TBWA Simons Palmer

Funeral was a TV advert created by the TBWA Simons Palmer advertising agency to promote MediEvil throughout October 1998 in the United Kingdom. On October 19, 1998, the ad was classified as suitable for viewing by people aged 15 or over by the British Board of Film Classification.[1]

    Summary

The advert opens with a dark funeral scene, its attendees chanting. They are dressed in black and appear quite odd looking. The woman before the funeral's open grave picks up a wreath in the shape of a triangle. She throws it at the top of the coffin, completing the assortment of PlayStation symbol-shaped wreaths on it. The attendees stop chanting as the coffin slowly begins to open. The dead man within the coffin is resurrected and the woman who threw the wreath welcomes him back with a kiss: "Welcome back, dear!" A brief assortment of scenes from the game follows.
