Gallowpedia, the MediEvil Wiki (the "Wiki") is committed to protecting the privacy of all of its users. It is essential to understand that, by using the Wiki, you (the "User") consent to the collection, transfer, processing, storage, disclosure, and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy (the "Policy"). That means that reading the Policy carefully is important. This Policy applies strictly to the Wiki and does not govern any other site that is linked or alluded to on the Wiki.
What Data Is Collected?
We (the "Administrators") collect information about users as they take part in certain activities on the Wiki. Most notably, user information is collected during the registration of a new user account on the Wiki. This includes, but is not limited to, email addresses and full names. However, some of this information is optional and may be removed or rectified at any time through the user preferences page.
Your Contributions
When you make a contribution to the Wiki, you are creating a permanent, public record of every piece of content added, removed, or altered by you. Public historical records will show when your contribution was made, as well as your username (or real name if it was supplied). Any of this information is visible on the Internet and can be found by search engines. Public contributions are associated with the user that contributed them and this information will be visible on the Wiki.
Unless this Policy says otherwise, you should assume that information that you actively contribute to the Wiki, including Personal Information, is publicly visible and can be found by search engines. Like most things on the Internet, anything you share may be copied and redistributed throughout the Internet by other people. Please do not contribute any information that you are uncomfortable making permanently public, like revealing your real name or location in your contributions.
Information We Receive Automatically
When you request a page on the Wiki, the web server automatically collects information about you, such as the IP address of your device (or your proxy server), the type and version of your browser, your device's operating system and its version, in some cases the name of your internet service provider or mobile carrier, the website that referred you to the Wiki, which pages you request and visit, and the date and time of each request you make to the Wiki. This data is used to provide a better experience for our users through determining ways to improve, administrate, and customise the Wiki.
Locally Stored Data
We actively collect some types of information with a variety of commonly used technologies, which can include tracking pixels, JavaScript, our users' local storage, and cookies. Depending on which technology we use, locally stored data can be anything from text and images, to Personal Information (like your IP address) and information about your use of the Wiki (like your username or the time of your visit). What are my cookie options?
While this is not a comprehensive list, below are some of the things that you can do to limit use of cookies and other locally-stored data technologies on your device. - Protect against harm to other users of the Wiki.
Storage Duration
We keep any identifiable information we have for the shortest possible time, in accordance with law. Non-private information, such as contributions to the site, may be kept indefinitely.
What Are Your Data Protection Rights?
Gallowpedia would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
- The right to access – You have the right to request copies of your personal data from the Wiki. As a registered user, you can access this on your own through the user preferences page.
- The right to rectification – You have the right to request that the Wiki correct any information about you you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request the Wiki to complete the information you believe is incomplete. As a registered user, you can generally do this yourself using the user preferences page.
- The right to erasure – You have the right to request that the Wiki erases your personal data, under certain conditions.
- The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that the Wiki restricts the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
- The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to the Wiki's processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
- The right to data portability – You have the right to request that the Wiki transfers the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
