Book of Gallowmere entry
This mean-spirited snake was always viewed as the lesser serpent sibling. It was always Kul Katura this, and Kul Katura that!

Well, if no one wants to worship him, let there be no worshippers at all!
Description
This Serpent is not a friendly like Kul Katura. He is not here to aid you in battle, no sir, it's just the opposite. If (and when) you encounter this astral beast, take the book's advice and run like a coward until he goes away.MED-Prima
Story
Story
It is first mentioned within a book in the level, which warns Daniel to run if he encounters it. It is basically the evil counterpart to Kul Katura. Unlike Kul Katura who kills Dan's enemies, the Serpent of Gallowmere only charges at Dan. It is encountered beyond the fiery gateway that Dan should pass through if he had obtained the Dragon Armor. It is locked inside of a chest at the end of the chamber. If Dan gets too close to the chest, it will burst open and the Serpent will give chase for a limited time.

Strategy
Though it is recommended to just avoid the Serpent while it is chasing you, it can actually be killed. If Dan hits its head enough times with any of his weapons, the serpent will let out a dying sound and leave. Doing so in the PS4 remake will unlock the "If It Slithers, I Slays" trophy.
