In 1286, Zarok began his conquest of Gallowmere. His initial attack on [[Castle Peregrin]] was thwarted by [[Sir Daniel Fortesque]]. The war finally ended at the [[Battle of Gallowmere]] where Zarok was defeated. However, this was a pyrrhic victory for Gallowmere, as many young men were lost in the fight.
