    ― Book, MediEvil

The Serpent of Gallowmere is the evil brother of Kul Katura the Serpent Lord. He is encountered in the Gallows Gauntlet and also appears as part of Daring D. Castro's quest.

    History

The Serpent of Gallowmere is first mentioned within a book in the Gallows Gauntlet, which warns Daniel to run if he happens to encounter him. Unlike his brother Kul Katura, who kills Dan's enemies, the Serpent of Gallowmere only charges at Dan. It is encountered beyond the Dragon Gate that Dan needs to pass through using the Dragon Armor. It is locked inside of a chest at the far end of the area. If Dan gets too close to the chest, it will burst open and the Serpent will give chase to Dan for a limited time.

    Strategy

Though it is recommended to just avoid the Serpent while it is chasing you, it can actually be killed. If Dan hits its head enough times with any of his weapons, the serpent will let out a dying sound and leave. Doing so in the PS4 remake will unlock the "If It Slithers, I Slays" trophy.
