MEDIEVIL 2

Q: Richie, I've come across some sticky sections in MediEvil 2, so I'd like some cheats (especially a level skip one) if they exist. I'll be forever grateful!
Reece, SA

R: Even though he's dead, which would usually hinder bodily movement quite a lot, Dan Fortesque is a nimble little chap and can fight his way out of some pretty hairy situations. But if you're really having trouble with the evil undead, and your sword isn't as sharp as it used to be, try this handy code to access the Cheat mode. During the game hold L2 button and press LEFT, UP, Square button Triangle button, RIGHT, Circle button, UP, Square button. Then pause the game and press DOWN repeatedly until another option appears. This will enable you to choose cheats from unlimited health, all weapons, level skip and unlimited money selections. Now get stuck in.

MediEvil II Wins Top Award

Sony Cambridge Studios' MediEvil II has scooped the UK BAFTA award for best console game. The annual event is designed to reward excellence in the field of interactive entertainment, or 'games'.

James Shepherd, creative director of MediEvil II, was delighted to win the award. "In this industry you often work in isolation. When you win something like this it's really nice," he said. "It's great people think so highly of the game. We often get bogged down thinking what we couldn't fit in.

"It's brilliant that a really irreverent game has won. Games have a bad rap - when I won I called my mother to remind her of the times she told me how pointless videogames are."

She no doubt reminded him how long she was in labour.

Sydney 2000, developed by Attention To Detail, was also honoured in the sports category. EA took the award for sound with Theme Park World.
