Chunky Monkey was "the programming chimp" at SCEE Cambridge Studio during the development of MediEvil. He was named by Jason Riley.[1] According to Paul Donovan, the programmers had a fascination with chimps. Chunky Monkey would be placed on a person's desk after they did something wrong, signifying them as "the chimp."[2]
