For the serpents in general, see [[the evil serpent from The Gallows Gauntlet|the evil serpent from The Gallows Gauntlet]] and Serpent of Gallowmere.

The Serpents are fearsome supernatural creatures found in Gallowmere. They are brothers - the kindly Kul Katura the Serpent Lord and the evil Serpent of Gallowmere.

    History

The serpents' past is largely unknown. However, it is likely that they were once worshipped, either by men or dragons.[1.1] The Dragon Gate in the Gallows Gauntlet, built by the dragons of old, was fashioned after them.

Both of the serpent siblings were eventually captured and trapped within chests until they were freed by Sir Daniel Fortesque, the Hero of Gallowmere, in 1386. Kul Katura was grateful and helped the knight dispatch his enemies, while the Serpent of Gallowmere attacked Dan and was subsequently killed by him.
