This is a list of all locations and landmarks in The Lake level.

Crystal contraptions

The Crystal Contraptions are a set of three magical machines built by the inhabitants of Mellowmede long ago, surrounding the lake in the middle of the town. These three machines are needed to freeze the turbulent waters of the lake's giant whirlpool, creating a giant funnel one can use to slide down to the sea floor. The original purpose of these machines is not well understood as the people of Mellowmede are long gone.

Each of the Crystal contraptions is powered by a rune stone - one requires a Chaos Rune, another a Time Rune and the last one an Earth Rune. Each contraption has a Watcher attached to it, which upon seeing Dan will alert the local Toad Demons to his presence.
