    Sir Dan happens upon Lupo as soon as he lands in [[Gallowmere]]. Lupo takes Dan's skeletal [[arm]] to the still living Captain Fortesque. This is when Dan remembers that Lupo was his dog in life.
     
    Dan then doesn't see Lupo until much later when Lupo saves him from [[Zarok]]'s thugs in the [[Mystic Maidens]] by transforming into a werewolf. Lupo recognises the undead Dan as his master due to [[Griff]]'s fairy magic.
     
    After the two Dans swap bodies, Lupo stays behind to watch over the now skeletal Captain Fortesque.

    Lupo was originally developed as a character for the PS2 sequel to ''[[MediEvil 2]]'', [[Fate's Arrow (2003)|Fate's Arrow]]. A squeaky dog toy was going to be an item that could be thrown around to direct his attacks against larger enemies and bosses.
