The Bonny Prince Charlie was a coastal inn situated approximately 80 miles west of Inverness. It was named after Charles Edward Stuart, the Stuart claimant to the throne of Great Britain. Professor Hamilton Kift and Lord Palethorn stayed at the inn on January 17, 1878, before embarking on their expedition to the Hebrides.
