According to Chris Sorrell, Dan would have had to avoid the sand monsters while using rock platforms for safety.[1] While no official depiction of the sand monsters is publically available, the scrapped level's similarity to Tremors[1] suggests they were likely going to be large worm-like creatures, much like the Graboids. |
