===Release from the tomb===
In 1386, a hundred years from the demons' imprisonment, Zarok sent a deployment of his [[Boiler Guards]] to raid Gallows Town in search of the Shadow Artefact. However, Sir Daniel Fortesque managed to find the artefact first. Later on, in the Enchanted Earth, Sir Dan used the Shadow Artefact to open the entrance to the tomb and was forced to release the Shadow Demons in order to make progress on his journey to defeat Zarok. Once freed, the demons made their way to the ruins of Peregrin Castle.
