Mad Farmers are inhabitants of the Scarecrow Fields. Gallowmere's declining population has decreased a need for crops which drove these farmers mad.[2.1]
Strategy
The mad farmers hide in haystacks throughout the fields. Upon Sir Dan's approach toward a haystack, they jump out and attack him with their pitchforks. Slashing them with the Broad Sword is one of the easiest ways to kill them.

Trivia
- In an early version of the original game as seen in one of its promotional trailers, the farmers came out of wagons of hay instead of haystacks.
- The farmers are called "Hay Monsters" in MediEvil's official strategy guide. This name shouldn't be confused with the enemies of the same name from MediEvil: Resurrection.
