Back in the earlier days of development, MediEvil has a numerous strings of older concept drawings made as possible design options for enemies but most were scrapped at the end.[1] Dated on 1996, the concept arts were presumed to be done by Mitch Phillips.

List

Switch-Faced Freak

A freakish human with the right side of their face switched upside-down.

Alien Demon

A demon-like creature with clawed hands for feet, a surreal-looking shape from the back of the head, hairy arms, and a demonic skull face for the stomach. The concept art's date suggests that the drawing was finished on December 1, 1996.

Imp-like Creature

A short grotesque creature what would later become an Imp. It has larger hands, protruding eyes, a hanging tongue, and bat-like ears.

Smiling Reaper

A grinning ghost/zombie-like being that wears an armour and carrying a scythe.

Headless Monster

A bizarre monstrosity with a lack of head but has a menacing beast-like face in place of its stomach, most likely based on the headless humans from various mythologies.
