Zarok’s Evil Gargoyles are enemies from MediEvil and Resurrection. They can be found in the Cemetery Hill level.
Involvement
MediEvil / MediEvil: Resurrection
They are brought to life by Zarok. They hurl boulders from their mouths to bar Dan's progress up the hill.
When Daniel reaches them in the original MediEvil, they lament over having failed Zarok and sacrifice themselves by exploding into pieces.
In MediEvil: Resurrection, they simply stop hurling boulders once Daniel reaches the top of the hill.
Trivia
- Gargoyles in MediEvil are one of the several enemies shown to be capable of speaking; the others are the Boiler Guards, the Dragon, the Ghost Ship Captain, the Pirate Crew in MediEvil, and the Pirate Officers in MediEvil: Resurrection.
- In MediEvil, there is an unused quote for the Gargoyles that can be located under Speech number 125 after using cheats. It says: "We must double our efforts to protect the Master!"
