Kardok skip is a glitch in the original MediEvil. It is only possible and useful in Zarok's Lair, where you will fight Kardok. It has a 50% chance of success, even when executed properly.

Kardok skip

Difficulty Easy
Possible in Zarok's Lair
Used in Zarok's Lair
Obsolete No

Although it is called a skip, it is not used to literally skip Kardok, but to simply desync his shield from his body, so that he's vulnerable when he's not supposed to.

How it works

  1. As you complete the Fazguls battle, the camera will move to face Sir Dan.
  2. Mash SELECT until the next cutscene starts.
  3. If it starts with the inventory open, you managed to start the glitch!
  4. Wait for the cutscene to continue and see where Kardok is.
  5. If he's not behind the gate, close the inventory immediately. The glitch failed.
  6. If he is behind the gate, keep the inventory open as long as possible. Wait until the camera shows Dan again, in the center of the arena and you have control of him. The camera will face Dan from his left side.
  7. Close the inventory and run to Kardok. His shield will be down and you can damage him.
  8. Once he starts running, his shield will sync back with him, continue the fight as usual.
