"Thank you for releasing me, Sir. My people wish only to live our lives in blissful harmony with nature, but alas the wicked Ant Queen has many of us imprisoned."
    ― Nigel, MediEvil

Nigel[1]Template:Ref is a fairy that was imprisoned in The Ant Caves by the ants.

    History

    MediEvil

Nigel is freed by Sir Dan who was shrunk to the size of an insect by the Forest Witch. After being freed, Nigel implores Dan to rescue the other fairies from the ants' nest. He leads Daniel to the entrance of the ants' cave system, where he summons his firefly friends to help light Dan's way through the darkness below. If Dan manages to rescue all six fairies from the ants' nest, Nigel will reward Dan with a chalice.

    Quotes

    Main article: Speech
    • (to Dan) "You have helped to free all the fairy people from the clutches of the filthy ant scum. As a reward I can grant you passage to the Hall of Heroes. I've never been there myself but I've heard they've got a free bar."

    Trivia

    • In the original MediEvil, Nigel rewards Daniel with a free trip to the Hall of Heroes after Dan exits the ants' nest and without directly giving Dan a chalice. In the PS4 remake, he will reward Daniel with a chalice when the Ant Queen is killed, before Dan leaves the anthill.

    Notes

[a] The MediEvil: Fate's Arrow comic reveals Dan saved a fairy called Nigel, cousin to Griff and Noreen, “from the clutches of a belligerent ant-mob.”[1] However, it does not specify which fairy Nigel was exactly. For the purpose of distinguishing the fairy with a speaking part from the others, this article assumes it is Nigel. This is subject to change as new information is revealed.
