The celestial grammar horn was a device designed to blast out the national anthem of the British Empire into space in the hopes of convincing aliens to pledge allegiance to Queen Victoria.
History
19th century
The celestial grammar horn (or a replica of it) was on display at the Great Museum in Kensington, London, in 1886.[1]
