    December 1995:
    MediEvil MediEvil is conceptualised by Chris Sorrell after he is finished working on The Snowman and Father Christmas edutainment games.[1][2]
    September 1996:
    Millennium Interactive Sony MediEvil Millennium Interactive secures Sony as MediEvil's publisher.[1]
    MediEvil The PlayStation version of MediEvil enters development.[3]
    MediEvil Development of the Windows 95 and Sega Saturn versions of MediEvil ceases.[1]
    July 4, 1997:
    Sony Millennium Interactive SCEE Cambridge Studio Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) buys the Millennium game development studio from CyberLife Technology for about £6 million, due to their experience of working with the team through the preliminary months of MediEvil. The Sony Computer Entertainment Cambridge Studio is formed.[4][5]
    October 9, 1998
    MediEvil MediEvil is released in Europe.[6] It is the first European PlayStation title to launch with LibCrypt, a type of copy protection.[7]
    October 21, 1998
    MediEvil MediEvil is released in North America.[8][9][10]
    June 17, 1999
    MediEvil MediEvil is released in Japan.[11]
    April 21, 2000:
    MediEvil 2 MediEvil 2 is released in Europe.[12][13][14]
    May 9, 2000:
    MediEvil 2 MediEvil 2 is released in North America.[15][16]
    September 1, 2005:
    MediEvil: Resurrection MediEvil: Resurrection is released in Europe as a launch title for the PSP.[17][18]

    MediEvil: Resurrection MediEvil: Resurrection is released in North America.[19][20]
    May 31, 2009:
    ProBoards The MediEvil Boards are opened.[21]
    January 10, 2012:
    SCEE Cambridge Studio Guerrilla Cambridge icon.png SCEE Cambridge Studio is re-established as a development branch of Guerrilla Games.[22]
    January 12, 2017:
    Guerrilla Cambridge icon.png SONY announces the closure of the Guerrilla Cambridge studio as part of a broader restructuring effort.[23]
    December 8, 2017:
    MediEvil 2019 icon.png A remake of the original MediEvil for PS4 is announced at PlayStation Experience 2017.[24] It is said to be coming in 2018.[25] This early announcement was prompted as a result of efforts by MediEvil fans, including the #ResurrectFortesque campaign on Twitter.[26]
    May 9, 2019:
    MediEvil 2019 icon.png The MediEvil Story Trailer is shown during Sony's State of Play show.[27] The MediEvil remake's release date is confirmed and pre-orders are opened on the PlayStation Store.[28] The contents of the Digital Deluxe edition of the game are also revealed.[27]
    August 17, 2019:
    The Game Prequel icon.png At 4PM UK time, Jason Wilson unveils the hardback version of MediEvil: The Game Prequel comic on his Twitter, to be published by Titan Comics.[29]
    October 25, 2019:
    MediEvil 2019 icon.png The Game Prequel icon.png The PS4 remake of MediEvil is released worldwide, including the Digital Deluxe edition containing the MediEvil: The Game Prequel comic.[28]
    December 3, 2019:
    The Game Prequel icon.png The MediEvil: The Game Prequel comic's physical edition is officially released.[30]
    June 4, 2021:
    Funko icon.png MediEvil 2019 icon.png A Sir Daniel Fortesque Funko Pop is announced on the official Funko Twitter.[31] It is released in most of North America, Europe and Australia over the coming months.[32][33][34][35][36]
    August 15, 2023:
    PlayStation Plus icon.png MediEvil: Resurrection MediEvil: Resurrection is re-released on PS4 and PS5 through the PS Plus Premium service.[37]
    April 16, 2024:
    PlayStation Plus icon.png MediEvil The original MediEvil comes out as part of the PlayStation Plus Premium service.[38]
