↑"The MediEvil series was one of Sony's first IPs - released in 1998, it, as well as its sequel, MediEvil II, were huge hits across Europe and the United States, and are fondly remembered by many PlayStation fans, even today.
In 2005, MediEvil: Resurrection was released on the PSP. A remake of the original title, it was the last major MediEvil title to be released. Since then, the MediEvil IP has gotten very little representation from Sony, peaking at a small role in 2012's "PlayStation All Stars: Battle Royale".
We believe this to be a mistake, and we, as a fanbase, want more MediEvil games for the PlayStation 4. The original two MediEvil titles on the PlayStation were huge hits, and we think that it would be an intelligent business move to bring the series back. We believe that the smartest way to capitalize on this would be to remaster MediEvil and MediEvil II in a similar fashion to "Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy". ↑"The key thing when you’re exhibiting is that you don’t really get to see the rest of the show. I mean, I got to see everything during move in, but nothing was turned on at that point; I just saw what products and vendors were present (Sony’s bringing back MediEvil? Really?), and sometimes the insides of their under-construction booths." — Trevor, Exhibiting at PAX, a How-To Guide and Retrospective on MMORPG Tycoon 2 Devblog. Published October 28, 2019. Attracting thousands of players who came in search of a firsthand look at upcoming titles, new games available included “Final Fantasy VII,” “Death Stranding,” “Predator: Hunting Grounds,” “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” and “Medieval.”[sic] This giant activation, which offered rows of consoles for different titles, dedicated preview rooms with lines of up to 45 minutes and live tournaments, put PlayStation on the level of headline exhibitor at MCM Comic Con." — What You May Have Missed at MCM London Comic Con 2019 on License Global.
