    Death, briefly mentioning the incident.

The great Massacre of Mellowmede was the complete destruction of the town of Mellowmede after an ill-fated mining expedition by the town's citizens caused a tragic and brutal retaliation by the Rhinotaurs.[1][1.1] It is unknown when exactly the massacre happened, although it was likely a long time before Zarok's return in 1386.[2][2.1]

After the massacre, the town sunk underwater and the Rhinotaurs entered into hibernation in the Crystal Caves.
