The ECTS 1998 Sir Dan Statue was an event prop created specifically for 1998's European Computer Trade Show (ECTS). It is a statue of the protagonist of MediEvil, Sir Daniel Fortesque. During the event, it was enclosed within a spherical cage around PlayStation kiosks with the game.[1] It was possibly made by French SFX artist and propmaker Stéphane Piter.[2] It is owned by a private collector at present.
Description
Dan stands at around 5 feet tall.[3] His skull shape is slightly different than in-game with more exaggerated, menacing features. His armour design remains largely the same but is blue rather than violet. He carries a sword and shield in his hands. A tombstone with "MediEvil" written on it stands under him.
