Energy Vial

Energy Vials, also called Health Vials, were restorative items scattered throughout the land of Gallowmere, as well as Victorian London.

Resembling a common phial with a stopper on top and an ever-so-slight bend at the base, Energy Vials contain a much smaller portion of the liquefied reanimation magic kept in Life Bottles. As such, they are consumed instantly and will only restore a portion of Sir Daniel Fortesque's life force.

Gameplay

Overview

Energy Vials can be found throughout the levels of the games. They are consumed immediately when they are picked up and cannot be stored in the inventory. If Dan's HP exceeds his maximum health after picking up an Energy Vial, any amount in excess will fill a Life Bottle by the difference between its current balance and the remainder of the Energy Vial.

MediEvil (1998 original)

A single Energy Vial restores 225 HP.

In MediEvil and its remake, Dan will receive Energy Vials from certain heroes in the Hall of Heroes when all other rewards from them have been collected. Dan will also receive Energy Vials in Zarok's Lair for each member of his army remaining after the battle with the Fazguls.

MediEvil 2

A single Energy Vial restores 100 HP in MediEvil 2. This, in addition to Health Fountains drying up permanently, makes it harder to recover health than in the first game.

MediEvil: Resurrection

Health Vials restore 50 HP. They can also be purchased from all Merchant Gargoyles for 50 gold coins.

MediEvil (2019 remake)

Energy Vials restore 200 HP instead of 225 HP like in the original game.
