History

Noreen got her friend Wartilda to help Dan brew a Body Swap Potion so he could take the place of his cowardly living self in the upcoming battle. She also helped Dan procure one of the ingredients - the heart of Dan's love.

Characteristics

Appearance

Noreen was a fairy with short pink hair and green eyes. She had several piercings in her left ear and one in her nose. She wore a black tank top as well as a white loincloth similar to the male fairies. She had a tattoo, but she wouldn't say where.[1]

Abilities

Noreen, like all fairies, had the power to fly and to travel through time, though she was prohibited from physically altering the world. She could also use her powers to "fajazzle" people, placing them in a sort of trance. Her brother Griff believed that she was better at it than him.

As a female fairy, Noreen had a special power that allowed her to teleport people to what they were picturing, such as a loved one, but only for a duration of 20 minutes. Use of this power resulted in the expulsion of "magic gas" (i.e. a fart).

Behind the scenes

Name

Noreen is a name with two distinct origins: Irish and Arabic.

The Irish version of the name is the anglicized version of Nóirín, which is the diminutive of Nora. Nora originates as a short form of Honora (also Honoria), a common Anglo-Norman name, ultimately derived from the Latin word Honor (with that meaning).

The Arabic version of the name means "luminous."
