The moon was the earth's only natural satellite.
History
13th century
Sir Daniel Fortesque's hound Lupo was bitten by forest wolves, turning him into a were-dog. This would make Lupo transform when the moon was full. This was the case the night before the Battle of Gallowmere.[1]
14th century
It was believed at this time that the moon could drive people into lunacy.[2][2.1] Jack of the Green, the master of the Asylum Grounds in Gallowmere, mentioned the moon in one of his riddles. Moon Runes were also widely used to unlock many doors and gates during this century.[3]
19th century
There was a space exhibit on display at the museum in Kensington, London, in 1886, which featured the moon. People of the Victorian era believed that by 1910, the moon will become a part of the great colonial empire.
