The Speed glitch is an extremely easy glitch to perform, but a difficult one to master.

To move in MediEvil, you normally hold the directional buttons or the Left analog stick, and you walk or run in that direction. However, if instead of holding the DPAD/analog to move, you repeatedly tap the analog stick in the desired direction, you will gain a higher amount of speed.

In the original MediEvil, there's a limit to the speed that you can gain with this glitch.
This glitch is normally used until you gain the Daring Dash ability in the Return to the Graveyard level. Once you do, dashing is better than using the speed glitch.

    Autofire

The glitch is tiring to perform, and to avoid physical issues, the community decided to allow the usage of a tool to automate the tapping of the analog stick.

    Trivia

    • In MediEvil 2 there's no limit to the amount of speed you can gain, allowing for ridiculous amounts.
