The counterperson was met by Canny Tim while Tim was trying to procure a weapon for Sir Dan to use to fend off the Jabberwocky. The worker was unimpressed with Tim's sense of urgency and didn't believe that a monster was about to attack the castle, so he told Tim to wait. When it was finally Tim's turn, the counterperson was about to go on a break. Angry and frustrated, Tim broke the case containing the Magic Sword of Dirk Steadfast.
