Police-Constable Hallfield

Police-Constable Hallfield (fl. 1886) was a constable called upon by fellow constable Steven Hagger on duty in Brixton Hill on April 10, 1886. Hagger had Hallfield posted outside a derelict warehouse, from which Lord Palethorn emerged. Hallfield stopped Palethorn, but a struggle between them ensued. Hallfield was able to hold Palethorn until other officers came to provide reinforcement.[1][1.1] The story was covered by issue number 666 of the Medievil Times newspaper which was published on April 21, 1886.[1.1]
