Lupo (fl. 1286) was Sir Dan's loyal hound.
History
1286
Sir Dan happened upon Lupo as soon as he landed in Gallowmere. Lupo took Dan's skeletal arm to the still living Captain Fortesque. This is when Dan remembered that Lupo was once his dog.
Dan then didn't see Lupo until much later when Lupo saved him from Zarok's thugs in the Mystic Maidens by transforming into a werewolf. Lupo recognised the undead Dan as his master due to Griff's fairy magic.
After the two Dans swapped bodies, Lupo stayed behind to watch over the now skeletal Captain Fortesque.
Characteristics
Personality
Despite his master's mistreatment, Lupo was a loyal dog, defending and guarding his master.
Behind the scenes
Development
Lupo was originally developed as a character for the PS2 sequel to MediEvil 2, MediEvil: Fate's Arrow. A squeaky dog toy was going to be an item that could be thrown around to direct his attacks against larger enemies and bosses. Lupo would tear around as an AI character, following Dan as a sidekick.[1]
