The Energy Vial, also called Health Vial, is a pickup item in the MediEvil series.

Resembling a common phial with a stopper on top and an ever-so-slight bend at the base, Energy Vials contain a much smaller portion of the liquefied reanimation magic kept in Life Bottles. As such, they are consumed instantly and will only restore a portion of Sir Daniel Fortesque's life force, which varies by game.

    Gameplay

    MediEvil and MediEvil 2

Energy Vials are scattered throughout the land of Gallowmere, and later in Victorian London. Each pickup restores 175 HP. If Dan's current HP exceeds the maximum 300, any amount in excess will fill a Life Bottle by the difference between the balance of a partial Life Bottle and 175 (e.g. if a Life Bottle has 200 HP when Dan has full HP, then the Vial fills the remaining 100 HP and carries 75 over to the next empty bottle).

In MediEvil and its remake, Dan will receive Energy Vials from certain heroes in the Hall of Heroes when all other rewards from the same have been collected. Dan will also receive 1-3 Energy Vials in Zarok's Lair for each member of hos army remaining after the battle with the Fazguls.

    MediEvil: Resurrection

Health Vials restore 50 HP. They can also be purchased from all Merchant Gargoyles for 50 gold coins.
