"Hmmm, it looks to be made of the same material as your shield. Interesting, it should afford you much greater protection."
Professor Hamilton Kift, about the Super Armour.

The Super Armour was a special set of armour created by a time paradox.

    History

    Two Dans merge.

The Super Armour was unintentionally created after Sir Dan defeated The Ripper: upon saving Princess Kiya by travelling back in time, the Dan from the past shook hands with the Dan from the future, resulting in the two instantly merging into one and creating the armour in the process.

    Gameplay

    MediEvil 2

The Super Armour first appears in the loading screen for The Time Machine level. It is obtained and equipped automatically after finishing The Time Machine, the Ripper. Once obtained, it is impossible for Dan to return to wearing his regular armour on that playthrough. However, Dan can still wear his other disguises on top of the Super Armour.

The armour functions similarly to a Life Bottle, providing Dan with an additional 500HP. This is indicated by a gold trim around the Life Bar. The armour can be repaired by the Spiv. Repairing 100 of the armour's hitpoints costs 150G.

    MediEvil (2019 remake)

The Super Armour was made available as part of the Digital Deluxe Edition of the remake. It can be used in the full game but also the Short-Lived Demo. Wearing the armour provides a 10% increase in value to all collected treasure and also increases the prices at Merchant Gargoyles by 10%.[1][a] It is therefore advised that players take off the armour while shopping. Wearing the armour can be useful when trying to obtain the Sir Moneybags trophy.

    Notes

    1. The prices displayed in the Merchant Gargoyle store do not show the 10% increase, but it is charged when actually buying an item.
    2. The Romanian translation says "finalised" in brackets. This was likely meant to be removed at some point, but was not, even on the latest patch version (1.02).
