History
The Dark Soul was an unholy, demonic creature located in the heart of the Cathedral. Though it couldn't be killed with mortal weapons, it could be defeated by the lost souls gathered around the Cathedral. After it was defeated, the Dark Soul fell into a fiery pit. The Cathedral began collapsing soon after.
