The Electronic Entertainment Expo 1998 took place in Georgia World Congress Center from May 28 to May 30 (excluding workshops held on May 27).[1] The deadline for registering at a discounted price was April 24.[1]
On Friday the 29th, Sony threw an invite-only party at 7:30 PM, located at 311 Marietta Street, same as the year prior.[2]
MediEvil at E3 1998
- A version of MediEvil was playable at the event, which seemed to contain The Graveyard, Cemetery Hill and Return to the Graveyard levels. MediEvil was situated in the Sony Computer Entertainment America booth (booth number 6246) in the West Exhibit Halls.[3][4]
- Sony would drive the MediEvil team to the venue in a MediEvil-themed shuttle bus.[5]
- At Sony's party there were huge sails featuring Sir Dan.[5]
- E3 press kit CDs called Power Source were given out to members of the press. The first disc contained renders from MediEvil.
