History

14th century

"Wait, Dan! As my people say, there is more than one way to mount a camel."
― An idiom about camels allegedly shared with Sir Dan by Al-Zalam.

There was a camel sculpture in the Asylum Grounds hedge maze.[1][2] Some claim that the genie Al-Zalam, an supposed companion of Sir Dan, would often speak about camels and dromedaries.[3]

Gameplay

MediEvil: Resurrection

Al-Zalam will mention a camel in one of his comments reminding the player to keep playing when the game is left idle:

"Hey! Shift your ass! And your camel!"
― Al-Zalam, prodding Sir Dan.

The original MediEvil's development team had a toy camel called Calvin the Camel which some members considered to be the MediEvil mascot.[4]
