Angels were spiritual, heavenly, or supernatural beings, usually humanoid with bird-like wings, often depicted as messengers between God and humanity in various traditions like Christianity.
History
14th century
Gallowmere's graveyard featured a prominent angel statue which controlled nearby gates by turning.[1][2] Some accounts even claim that there were multiple such statues in the graveyard.[3]
19th century
Angels were still often depicted in art, such as in statues in graveyards. At some point, Lost Souls began manifesting around London's cathedral, which bore a great resemblance to angels. Sir Daniel Fortesque gathered the souls and used them against the Dark Soul of the cathedral.[4]
