"This is the centre of the psychic disturbance. It's a new one to me. All I'm reading is a great malevolent, slumbering evil. Extreme caution as always Dan. Oh, and before you go, you might want to use your head on some of those hands over there. Stand over a hand and use your head to see what happens."

Behind the scenes
Development
Jason Wilson was responsible for designing the puzzle rooms in the level.[2]
Version specific differences
In the 2025 re-release of the game, textures featuring a Gorgon and winged lions in the level's second vampire room were removed and replaced with a generic brick texture. This is because the designs were created by sculptor Jay W. Hungate, who owns the copyright.[3][4]
