Unicorns were legendary creatures that had been described since antiquity as equine beasts with a single large, pointed horn projecting from their foreheads.
History
13th century
When he was asked by the King's Champion he couldn't help fight off the zombie horde heading for Peregrin Castle, Zarok the Sorcerer made up excuses, such as nearly being out of unicorn hooves. Additionally, a unicorn head was mounted on the wall of the weapon requisitions in the castle.[1]
19th century
A unicorn was a part of Isibod Brunel's heraldic achievement along with a griffin.[2]
