MediEvil: Resurrection

The only avatar based on anything from MediEvil: Resurrection is of a sheep. It is a part of a default set of free avatars available to all players.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

This avatar of Sir Daniel Fortesque was released for free on the PlayStation Store in Spring 2014.[citation needed] It was released alongside several other avatars based on PlayStation characters playable in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. The design was created in Adobe Illustrator with a Wacom Intuos 4 drawing pad by illustrator Robert Ball. It was initially featured on the game's special edition steelbook case.[1][2]

MediEvil (2019 remake)

A set of 10 avatars was available as a pre-order bonus for the 2019 remake of MediEvil. They are based on artwork from the Book of Gallowmere, which is a bestiary in the game. Featured in the avatars are:

PlayStation Advent Calendar 2024

During the 2024 holiday season, PlayStation Germany ran a 30-day advent calendar. Users could use credits earned from various activities to buy tickets to a daily prize draw. Entering the prize draw would also award users with a unique avatar that pays tribute to a PlayStation game.[3] Each day in the calendar corresponded to a different year of the PlayStation's lifespan.

On November 29, the avatar for entering the prize draw was called "Daniels Kleiner Bruder" (Daniel's little brother).[4] Based on the avatar's name, the fact that the featured skeleton only has one glowing eye, and because this day in the calendar also corresponded to the year 1998, this avatar was likely meant to be a tribute to MediEvil. The avatar appears to have been AI generated using Stable Diffusion.[5]
