Humans were the most common and widespread species of primate. They were great apes characterized by their general hairlessness, bipedalism, and high intelligence. Humans had large brains, enabling more advanced cognitive skills that facilitated successful adaptation to varied environments, development of sophisticated tools, and formation of complex social structures and civilizations.

    History

    13th century

In 13th century Gallowmere, humans were the rulers of the land.[1]

    14th century

Although the Kingdom of Gallowmere had all but collapsed by this point, humans still seemed to be the prevalent inhabitants of the land. Due to Zarok the Sorcerer's magic, many human corpses were raised from the dead as zombies in 1386, and much of the human population was robbed of their free will or held in captivity. This crisis was eventually resolved by the resurrected human hero, Sir Daniel Fortesque.[2][3][4]

    19th century

Victorian London was a bustling human city. Due to Lord Palethorn's meddling, many human corpses were once again raised from the dead as zombies and London's civilians were in danger of being killed or turning into pumpkin plants. The crisis was once again resolved by Sir Dan.[5]
