Circle of Shadows is a level that was cut from MediEvil.[1] It would have taken place after The Haunted Ruins and led into The Silver Wood level. According to Chris Sorrell's recollection, the level ended up as "the tiny scene you see after you come out from the Ant Caves (or was it after the Haunted Ruins?!)".[2]
The level appears in the MediEvil ECTS Pre-Alpha, albeit it can only be accessed via hacking. No items or enemies appear in the level, but its VLO and WAD reveal that Shadow Demons and Hanged Men would have appeared in the level. Additionally, the level would have featured a boss fight against the Shadow Guardian.
Although the level was cut out of the final game, the area it takes place in still appears in the 9AV full motion video.
