Winged lions were mythological creatures that resembled a lion with bird-like wings.
History
It is unknown whether winged lions ever actually existed. However, two winged lion reliefs flanked a human statue in a room in Wulfrum Hall in London in 1886.[1]

In the 2025 re-release of MediEvil 2, the winged lions were removed from Wulfrum Hall and replaced with a generic brick texture. This is because the design was created by sculptor Jay W. Hungate, who owns the copyright.[2]
