"From what I can work out, this is the epicentre of the blast. Look around Fortesque, collect as much magic as possible, and see if you can work out who's behind this terrible state of affairs."

Kensington is the third level of MediEvil 2. It consists of two sections: Kensington and Kensington, the Tomb.

    Overview

Kensington is the epicenter of the Spell of Eternal Darkness cast by Lord Palethorn himself. The town, once descended into darkness, became riddled with the undead, aimlessly roaming the streets of the now lifeless city.

Lord Palethron's house full of dark artifacts presents the building parts of the Iron Slugger, while upstairs the very room where the spell was cast can be entered, devoid of anything of interest except for a forgotten pocket watch.

    Walkthrough by Mirrorstar

You start outside of the Library, which is now closed.

As you proceed down the street, you will find zombies on the ground. A regal zombie will appear and animate them. You must then kill all the reanimated zombies first. Then, the regal zombie will become solid. While he is solid, you can hit him. If you do not do so fast enough, he will reanimate the zombies again and you will have to kill them all again first. Beware of the regal zombie's cane stick as it can send you flying off to the side. It is a good idea to run past him and hit him as you go so you can keep out of his way. Kill the regal zombie to destroy the lot and get a moneybag.

You now have a choice of direction, forward or to the right. If you go forward you find a tunnel leading to the other half of town and a ladder leading up to the train tracks.

Going to the right will take you to the Town House, but a key is required. Proceed to the water fountain and take care of the reanimated zombies and the regal zombie there to get another moneybag. You are now located in front of the Museum. Next to the Museum's main entrance, you will find a fountain of rejuvenation. By the other side of the main entrance you will find two ladders. Climb up the one on the greenish wall. This will put you on the train tracks. Follow them to find a Spiv, next to a bell. Ring it and a train will go by emitting a purple glow. Following the tracks to the other end will reward you with a copper shield in a chest. Return to the other end of the train tracks and climb down at the Museum.

Go to the water fountain. With the Museum on your right, go forward and enter the tunnel to go to the other half of the town. As you walk up the street, you will encounter another regal zombie with his pack of reanimated zombies around a statue of a fish. Dispose of them for another moneybag.

At the statue of the fish, look for the sign for McPepper & Son Quayside Mills. Walk that way to find a lever next to water. Hit the lever to lower a small platform. Jump onto it to be raised to a higher level and enter the opening.

From as you enter, walk off of the edge to the right. There is a moneybag on a thin portion of floor by the water's edge. Look at the different crates. One is a darker brown color than the others. Stand next to it and then press and hold X button to grab it. Then, use the directional pad. You can either walk forward to push it or backward to pull it. In this case you want to pull it backwards so that it lines up with the stack of two crates there in the large pile. Jump onto the crate you just pulled then jump onto the stack of two crates from there. Jump up onto the stack of three crates then jump onto the the platform to get the depot key. Walk into the opening to exit.

Once the key is acquired zombies will pop out of the ground. Stand so that the water is to your right and the fish statue to your left. Go forward down the alley and through the tunnel, this will put you back on the first side of the town, where even more zombies will appear. Return to the water fountain. With the Museum on the left, go up the street. You will find the entrance to the Depot. From as you enter, look around and you will see a chest with a skull and crossbones on it. Hit it to unleash a bomb that will not hurt you but kill the zombies in your path. You will then see a ladder which you will climb.

Drop into the next room where you find a rejuvenation fountain. At the far end of the room next to a cart is a large stack of crates. Jump up them to get the Town House key. Once the key is taken skeletal mummies will attack you. They pounce on you and can also shoot out streams of energy in four directions at once, becoming invulnerable while doing so. In the corner there is a darker crate you can move. Pull it toward the rejuvenation fountain then push it past it and toward the cart. once onto the cart jump onto and reach for the exit of this room.

Drop down and leave. Beware of the zombies and return to the town, where even more zombies will be around the water fountain. Go left and walk into the keyhole to open the Town House door so you can enter it.

Once inside the door will be shut and you will have to go upstairs. You will find crates which are breakable, and behind them you will find a chest with a pocket watch in it. After acquiring the watch you are now free to leave the house.

Return to the fountain and climb up the train tracks, ring the bell and if your chalice is full the train will stop and you can take the chalice from it.

At last return to the Museum and climb the ladder on red wall which will take you on top of the museum. Approach the window on the roof to trigger a cutscene and drop down to complete the first part of the level.
